|Brighouse Model Aircraft Club|
It may have come to your attention we have recently purchased a lawnmower after our existing one became increasingly unreliable. If you want to have a look at it it is stored in the usual place. If you want to volunteer for the grass cutting rota then please contact the webmaster and I will pass your name onto Peter Irvine who administers the cutting rota.
A First Aid kit is now located in the bin.
If you use any items in it please let the Safety Officer know so that they can be replaced.
One of our members mentioned that in the event that he needed to call the emergency services he didn't know the exact address.
Brighouse Model Aircraft Club Location for Emergency Services
See location plan below.
Cars are normally parked in the area shown below (to the left of the gate).
Please don't drive into the field. Go directly to the parking area.
If you decide not to park on the field the
committee asks all members to act responsibly and to park on the main road (Highmoor La / Walton La) taking care NOT to block the slip road access to Jay House Lane.
We welcome non-members to watch the flying or just to talk about the hobby. Visiting B.M.F.A. members
are welcome to fly with us, but please only when a Brighouse member is present and with the members approval.
The site is open 7 days a week and although members may be present on any given day, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
and Sundays appear to be the most popular. Dry, warm days with light winds are preferred.
Clifton Flying Site
We do not fly over or close i.e. 50 metres to the cottages down Jayhouse Lane and keep the revs down as much as possible.
Model Aircraft with 2-stroke engines or turbines and model helicopters or multi-rotors are NOT ALLOWED on this site.
Please note that no more than four models are allowed to fly at once.
No flying before 12 noon on Sundays except quiet electric from 10 am and no later than 8 pm on any day for i.c. engine powered models.
Quiet electric models may be flown before 12 noon until dusk.
